Photography and Filming

Any commercial photography and filming in our spaces or on the Seaport Museum’s Pier 16 is prohibited without written permission from the Museum. The use of tripods and professional equipment requires prior arrangement to be made. A written request is required and 2-4 weeks advance notice must be given for all professional shoots. Rights and Reproductions Policy

South Street Seaport Museum counts with primary and secondary sources related to the history of the Seaport District and general maritime history. In addition to the unique materials including photography, scrapbooks, manuscripts and ship plans, the archives hold an extensive collection of books and other print resources related to maritime subjects.
